Oooops I've Done It Again (Haul)

Was a little bit naughty yesterday guys and ended up with a pretty big haul of stuff. Though as always feel i did get a whole host of bargains, there are some amazing bargains around at the moment!

So here is what i got (some of these things are online orders but i'll give you a list of stockists in this post.

First of all my glossy box came, i have luke warm feelings about this but will be sure to review these products separately. My fragrance direct order also came which featured a fair few little bargains if I do say so myself :-)

First of all I LOVE this Revlon matt nail polish in a colour called Emerald City and was just 99p, you can order this here. It really is a lovely product.

Next product in the haul was this W7 eye primer which cost £1.99, ive read a lot of positive reviews about this product so am keen to try it out. You can buy this here.
I want to review these products in full so just going to give a brief overview of everything else i bought.

Got this Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Berry Queen which is quite a reddy colour for just 99p, available here. Lovely colour so defo going to be wearing this over the weekend. Also love the rimmel packaging on this product.

Then i got this Maybelline Superstay lipgloss in icy pink which was £1.99 but has actually now sold out on the website. It's a lovely colour for everyday.

Next up is a Revlon product which cost me £1.50 (usually costs about a tenner in the shops) The colour looks purply on the website but as you can see is more of a pinky red, nice though and available here.

Next is this Bourjois eyeshadow which cost a tiny £1.99 and is in the colour Talbac Blonde available here

Finally i picked up a new blusher/bronzer product which is just lovely and i adore the packaging for. This cost a tiny £2.50 and is available here

Next is on to my clothing purchase, first of all i went into Republic which quite honestly is a shop i dont usually shop in but when i see a sale sign it's always worth a quick look in my opinion.

First of all i picked up this stunning fish-tail dress. I'll be wearing this on Saturday night for a bit night out with all my old university girls so will be sure to post pictures :) This dress was £20 reduced from £38.

Next of all i picked up this dress for just a tenner which i think will be perfect for day to day wear. This dress was reduced from £30 too so another bargain :) I also always love a bit of leopard!!
This is my fave bargain of the day, picked up this necklace for just a quid reduced from 15 quid, i love it and think it will add an edgy look to a dull outfit. For some reason these pictures only worked upside down!
Next stop was another few cheeky bargains at H&M, there's a massive sale on at the moment so couldn't resist a few purchases.

First of all this boob tube was just a quid, I'm actually going to wear it as a skirt though :)

Next of all another cheapo t-shirt this one was 3 quid and is great just for day to day wear :)
And finally another just on the blog wagon purchase - seen loads of people blogging about these hair cuffs so couldn't resist picking one up :) Think this was £1.99.

Overall i think a good haul if i say so myself what do you think?

Natural, Sleek or BIG?!!

Got a few new hair products in the last few days so thought i'd give them a quick review.

First of all i picked up a new pair of Nicky Clark straighteners from a mere 8 pound from Tesco. I don't often straighten my hair as prefer a more wavy look but a few recent celebrity styles had inspired me to get back on the straight and narrow.

Here is some of my straight inspiration...

Right so here are the straighteners i used..

They are eight quid in Tesco at the moment on a clearance offer but if you can't get to Tesco you can also buy them from Amazon here for £17.99. They are desgined for short hair but i have very fine hair so fine the thinner plates on hair straightener tend to work better on my hair. I also used a cheap heat protection serum from Superdrug which i picked up for just 50p.

So here are the results....

The first picture is how my hair looks after letting it dry naturally and the second is after using the straighteners. As you can see they work pretty well and give a very sleek and smooth look. Apologies for the bad photos (I'm home alone!)

Before i rave about these straighteners i must clarify that my hair is very very easy to straighten and I have a lot more issues getting it curly than straightening it. But overall i'm very happy with this product.

Problem is poker straight hair just isn't me and i feel the need for volume which brings me onto a review of my next product.

I picked up this product after using a similar one my friend had got the other weekend and i must say I'm pretty impressed.

As you can see this powder adds tons of volume to the hair and is dead easy to use. You just put your hair back to the roots and rub some along the hairline. My only qualm about this product is I think it's going to massively massively knot my hair up but hey suppose it's better than back combing?!

Has anyone else used any of these products?

Tesco Haul Review (Part 1 of 2)

Good Afternoon lovelies,

As promised here is part one of my review about my tesco product haul from yesterday. I will be reviewing the make up products today and the hair products tomorrow :-)

First of all let's begin with my bargain nail polishes :)

At 39p each these were a right bloody bargain and i actually really like the packaging, think they look a lot more expensive.

Soft Lilac

It's not very purply more of a pearly colour with a very very slight hint of purple but i do like the polish. It went on easy and gave good coverage with two coats.

Black Cherry

My fave polish all the haul, only actually had to use one coat and it went on in a lovely deep purply red shade.

Looks like quite a high end polish as left a very glossy and rich finish.

Fudge

The colour looks a lot richer in the bottle than it did on my nails - found the colour quite insipid on my hands.

It's a nice subtle colour and would be good if you wanted to put something really neutral on your nails but I like my nails to make a bit of a statement :)

Vibrant Pink

LOVE THIS!!! It's a very good fakey of Chanel's Rose Exuberant in fact :-) love a good designery looking polish.

The only thing i didn't like about this polish is it took 3 coats to get good coverage.

Scarlet Red

As a general rule i don't think a gal can own too many red polishes :) It's a classic timeless look and i personally don't think there's anything classier than a perfectly polished set of red nails.

Nice colour but nothing to shout home about - similar to about 8 polishes i already have. No qualms about quality though.

Overall

Pretty simple conclusion here, where can you go wrong with a 39p nail varnish that looks nice on your nails? You can't. If you see these it's def worth picking them up.

All About Face Lipstick in Soft Coral £1.49

I don't know about you but the one problem I seem to have with cheap lipsticks is the fact they seem to dry your lips out rather than moisturize them.  This product is no exception, which is a shame because i really like the coverage and colour and it did actually stay on for quite a long time before i needed to reapply a coat.

Overall worth the price :)

Barbara Daly Lipstick in Iced Gem £9.00

Typically with me (and I’m sure many of you) My fave product has ended up being the most expensive one. I often see the Barbara Daly range in Tesco and have been put off by the fact it’s not exactly dirt cheap and I haven’t actually heard of it before. But I will admit I am pleasantly surprised.
First off the product is extremely moisturising on the lips (almost feels like putting Vaseline on). Secondly the colour is lovely, I bought Iced Gem as I’m trying to get a few more subtle lipsticks for a more natural look for day to day wear.
The product is lovely so can defo recommend it onwards, has anyone else tried anything from the Barbara Daly range?

I will be trying out my new hair products this evening so will be back with a blog about them shortly. Also after all the great feedback on my competition i'm going to try and make my blog a little more personal by sharing one of my favorite songs everyday this week. The first is Youth by Daughter. Haunting and Beautiful, this song never gets old to me. Hope you enjoy :)
