Accidental Haul... Went to get tissues and concealer...Came back with the below....

So today I popped to the shops to pick up a few bits and got slightly carried away!!!

Eyes
(Clockwise from top left corner)
Rimmel Glam Eyes HD Quad Palette in Green Park - £1.00 - Poundland
Bit of a bargain here as I believe these were about £4.99 when they were knocking around in Superdrug - love the packaging which is the main reason why I chucked this in the basket. The quads are designed to give a full eye look so you've got different colours for the lid, crease and outer corner and a highlighter. They are all shimmery colours but overall happy for a quid.
MUA Heaven and Earth Palette £4.00 - Superdrug but on the three for two deal
I'm not going to bother going to much into this as the world and it's mother owns this palette - I picked it up as it's always sold out when i go in for it and I've wanted it for a while.
Rimmel Kohl Eye Liner Pencil in Green Shimmer £1.00
Once again another discontinued rimmel product which I believe was replaced for the jungle green which you can buy for £3.99 here. This is lovely for a heavy evening look and I cannot wait to use this during xmas party season.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold £4.99 but on the three for two deal
LOVE THIS PRODUCT.. I already have a couple of these but hadnt seen this colour before so super excited to wear this!
Swatches

Lips

So next up are a couple of lip products!! I have had a terrible cold all this week and my lips are looking disgusting so I havent been wearing lippy on them :( I picked up 2 products to try and resolve this and another cheeky poundland bargain
(From left to right)
Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in 005 Pure £1.00 in Poundland
Another cheeky poundland bargain - got this lush reddy pink lipliner which I believe will be another discountined shade but I know these normally retail at around £3.99
Maybelline Baby Lips £2.99 in Superdrug - also on 342
Apologies but because I was dying to get something on my lips I chucked the packaging so have no idea what this shade is called - does the job - its really just a tinted lip balm.
Nivea Soft Rose £1.00 in Poundland
I got this really to see if there was any difference between these sort of products and the massively hyped Baby Lips, guess what - there isnt really! The only noticeable different is the shade on the baby lips is stronger.

Face
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer £5.99 (Superdrug also on 342)
Once again won't go to much into this as I know loads of people already own this product, I have the foundation so basically got this cause I hope it will be the perfect colour match :)
MUA Pro Base Conceal and Brighten Kit in Medium Rose £3.50 (Superdrug on 342)
Haven't opened this yet but it intrigued me... would normally go for the lighter colour but there wasn't any left! May be able to use the darker colours for contorting but will have a play tomorrow :)
MUA Pressed Powder (Shade 2) £1.00 (Superdrug on 342)
Again haven't opened this but thought i'd give it a try for a quid

Nails
(From left to right - All from Poundshop and unbelievably £1.00)
Rimmel Metal Rush in Purple Reign
Not sure how this has made its way to the poundshop as it's still available on sale in Superdrug here for £3.99 - ooh i love a bargain :) I already have a few of these and the colour of them is fab as they're two tonal products depending on the light.
Chit Chat Gold Glitter
Disappointing - in the tube it looks like a heavy chunky glitter out of the top it's a thin bitty low coverage glitter - might be ok if you layered it up.
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Kiwi Bikini
Really lovely colour and love the brand - top quality coverage.
Chit Chat in Rio
Was so excited about this as it looked like a perfect dupe for Models Own Hed Kandi Ibiza Mix- but in reality it's like the Gold Glitter - might try layering it up though. Let me know if you'd like to see it next to Hed Kandi.
Rimmel Metal Rush in Gold Save the Queen
Another metal rush product - this colour in divine for Xmas and might look nice with layers and layers of the shitty glitter on top :)
Please let me know what you think and if you've had any beauty bargains recently? If you would like a further review on any of these products please comment below :)

Mini Polish Haul: Boots and Superdrug

1) Love this, super shiny polish! Perfect for this time of year. This costs £3.99
2) Doesn't really work, supposed to create a pattern if you moved the magnet above the wet polish but didn't. Colour is ok but wouldnt't waste £3.50 on another one.
3) This one was free as most brands are on 3 for 2 at Superdrug at the moment but to be honest isn't that great, just  basic green glitter. No real texture to it.
4) Now this is the ultimate green glitter, i'm a little bit in love with this product. If you already own the Model's Own HedKandi Ibiza Mix it's quite a similar texture but with just green and gold glitters. I'm going to wear it (probably rather a lot) over christmas with a white base.
5) Finally I just picked up another Models Own nail pen in blue which i love, i'm not massively skilled in this area but love doing polka dot nails :)

All Model's Own polishes are on buy one get one half price in Boots at the moment.....

All That Glitters.... and a HUGE thank you!!!

First of all a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who follows my blog, yesterday I hit the big 3-00 and am literally over the moon :)

Now onto today's post which is about one of my fave things Glittery Nail Polish :)

Here is my collection...

And swatches :) These are in the same order...

My fave is the Model's Own Ibiza Mix, this looks amazing when you put it on top of a base colour.

My least fave is the Glamour Glitter that came free in this month's mag, i've put it next to the Model's own polish and as you can see it looks pretty poor next to it.

My fave bargain is the Primark black glitter which came in a set and worked out at just 50p.

I'm off to buy some new glitters this week so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks for reading, this is only a quick post as I am full of cold and feeling very sorry for myself :(

Thanks for reading.

Trying To Nail It!!

When i'm bored i tend to enjoy messing around with nail polish!! I recently put a swatch on top of each bottle of polish so they were easy to locate.

So basically this eve I just had a bit of a piss about with some new nail varnish ideas and then i tried a new look on my own nails. So I don't have to keep taking nails on and off I tend to play with new styles on false nails or just bits of paper. I don't have any fake nails left at the moment (waiting for an ebay delivery) so here's some of the messing about I did.

I then had my first idea at using a sponge on my own nails and I am 50% happy with the results.

Basically you paint your nails then sponge different layers of other polishes over the top.

In my case i used a black base and gold and blue over the top. Any one interested in the actual colours I used.

The black is a cheap collection 2000 one.
The gold is rimmel bling.
The blue is Models Own Balearic Cool

Here's a pic

I got the idea here.

Mua Nail Constellation - Pisces

Mua Nail Constellation - Pisces Review
Rating 2/10

Right let me start off by saying i was so excited to try this product!!! At just £3.00 who could resist trying the high street's first attempt at nail caviar. However after using it I'm left feeling a bit meh about the product.

First problem is i lost the little instruction booket (totally my own fault) but had no idea how to put this on. I thought the nail caviar would work like a glitter polish but in fact it's loose particles.

To apply the product you paint your nail and then shake the substance over the top and hope it sticks.

This is where the first problem occurs :(

The beads do not come down the tube!!! I shook and shook and only got a light sparkling of product on my nails so had to take the entire lid of the product and pour a large amount of the product over my nail.

So here is what it looks like....

Overall i'm not massively impressed with the product - maybe it's me but I just couldnt make it look neat! I also just don't think it's going to stay on for very long despite covering it with clear nail varnish. I think maybe it's just time to fork out for the Ciate Nail caviar.

I'm a bit meh with the whole MUA range. being a bit of a beauty snob but also loving a bargain I keep buying bits and bats from it but find myself ending up with their high end alternative a few weeks later.

Where I Keep Things and Faves :)

Bit of a different style of post today, basically letting all of you know where i keep my stuff and some of my fave things in the world.

Nails

I'm a bit of a nail varnish hoarder! And keep my vast collection of my window ledge... I know this is going to sound tragic but to avoid sun damage I always put a scarf over them when it's sunny outside! In fact throughout the summer months i tend to pop them on my bookcase.

As you can see Model's Own tends to be my brand of choice :)

Here are 3 of my all time fave polishes.

The first is Nails Inc Paddington Street which is a fab shade for this time of year, you can buy this in this fab gift set for just £20 which includes 3 other colours. Its available from the beauty bay here.
Second up is a Barry M polish in Silvery Lilac, i like Barry M and always tend to pick a few up when they're on 3 for 2 which they always seem to be! Treat yourself with the weekly shop and pick it on from Tesco online here for just £2.99
Finally is a polish i picked up in the half price models own sale and though it's very summery i'm totally in love with it. The shade is Jade stone and is available here for a fiver :)

Make Up

Before last week my make up collection was a bit of a mess, until the make up artist style carry case entered my life that is!!!

Some of my fave make up products are as below.

Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow is currently my fave foundation, though it is heavy and I do tend to use a cheapo 17 one during the day for a lighter look. It's pretty good value at £24.50, i buy the shade Warm Me Toasted as i'm quite pale :) You can pick up this product here.

And here are the best of the rest...
Naked Palette - I am still reveling in this absolute bargain - i picked this up for just £21 in the Jet2 end of season sale!! I'm afraid that if you're not flying Jet2 in the next couple of weeks it's going to set you back £36 but is worth every penny. I have used this product every day since buying it and really don't think i'll ever need to buy another eye shadow set. (Just to clarify i will i just won't need to).

You can buy NAKED from Debenhems here.

Next up is my fave blusher which is one i actually only use in the evenings as it's way to heavy for the day. I buy the MAC cremeblush blend in Posey for £17.50 as you can see from the picture this product is running very very low but i have had it since January so and used it on most night's out so it's lasted pretty well. You can buy this here.

Sugarlicious is one of Benefits lip and cheek kits and it ideal for throwing into your handbag as it contains some of my fave benefit products in travel sized bottles and a mirror!!! The sugarbomb blusher is a perfect day time blusher when you want a naturalish look. You can buy this here for £24.50

Next up is my eyeliner of choice- I have hundreds of eyeliners, gel, liquid, pencil, you name it and i've probably tried it at some point but i keep going back to the Mac Powerpoint eye pencil in black obviously! There is a really nice metalically shimmer to it and it looks great when doing a smokey eye. You can buy this for £14.50 here.
I blogged about the recent Cargo makeup stand closing down in Boots and how i picked up a 30 quid mascara for just under 7, i'm obsessed with this mascara which is the lash activator triple action but have no idea where i'm going to get another one from, if anyone knows i will be eternally grateful :)

Finally is my current fave lipstick which is only a cheapy but I love it. It's one of the Kate Moss rimmel ones in shade 12 which is a fab orangey red shade :) You can buy this for just £5.49 here

I was also going to blog about my jewellery storage but realize I've blabbed on enough for today :)
What items are your faves? Any recommendations? xxx

Tesco Haul Review (Part 1 of 2)

Good Afternoon lovelies,

As promised here is part one of my review about my tesco product haul from yesterday. I will be reviewing the make up products today and the hair products tomorrow :-)

First of all let's begin with my bargain nail polishes :)

At 39p each these were a right bloody bargain and i actually really like the packaging, think they look a lot more expensive.

Soft Lilac

It's not very purply more of a pearly colour with a very very slight hint of purple but i do like the polish. It went on easy and gave good coverage with two coats.

Black Cherry

My fave polish all the haul, only actually had to use one coat and it went on in a lovely deep purply red shade.

Looks like quite a high end polish as left a very glossy and rich finish.

Fudge

The colour looks a lot richer in the bottle than it did on my nails - found the colour quite insipid on my hands.

It's a nice subtle colour and would be good if you wanted to put something really neutral on your nails but I like my nails to make a bit of a statement :)

Vibrant Pink

LOVE THIS!!! It's a very good fakey of Chanel's Rose Exuberant in fact :-) love a good designery looking polish.

The only thing i didn't like about this polish is it took 3 coats to get good coverage.

Scarlet Red

As a general rule i don't think a gal can own too many red polishes :) It's a classic timeless look and i personally don't think there's anything classier than a perfectly polished set of red nails.

Nice colour but nothing to shout home about - similar to about 8 polishes i already have. No qualms about quality though.

Overall

Pretty simple conclusion here, where can you go wrong with a 39p nail varnish that looks nice on your nails? You can't. If you see these it's def worth picking them up.

All About Face Lipstick in Soft Coral £1.49

I don't know about you but the one problem I seem to have with cheap lipsticks is the fact they seem to dry your lips out rather than moisturize them.  This product is no exception, which is a shame because i really like the coverage and colour and it did actually stay on for quite a long time before i needed to reapply a coat.

Overall worth the price :)

Barbara Daly Lipstick in Iced Gem £9.00

Typically with me (and I’m sure many of you) My fave product has ended up being the most expensive one. I often see the Barbara Daly range in Tesco and have been put off by the fact it’s not exactly dirt cheap and I haven’t actually heard of it before. But I will admit I am pleasantly surprised.
First off the product is extremely moisturising on the lips (almost feels like putting Vaseline on). Secondly the colour is lovely, I bought Iced Gem as I’m trying to get a few more subtle lipsticks for a more natural look for day to day wear.
The product is lovely so can defo recommend it onwards, has anyone else tried anything from the Barbara Daly range?

I will be trying out my new hair products this evening so will be back with a blog about them shortly. Also after all the great feedback on my competition i'm going to try and make my blog a little more personal by sharing one of my favorite songs everyday this week. The first is Youth by Daughter. Haunting and Beautiful, this song never gets old to me. Hope you enjoy :)

The Last 24 Hours...

Bistros, Boyfriends and Bargains!!!

Well it's been rather an eventful 24 hours in my life!! Last night me and my boyfriend went out for a lovely meal at Ego Restaurant in Sheffield, if you live near and haven't been it's well worth a visit.

I had a glass of pinot and a gorgeous chicken dish in a tarragon and pancetta sauce and my boyfriend had the salmon. We also shared some gorgeous parmentier potatoes and corgette fritters. :-)

Here is the link if anyone fancies checking out the menu :) There's also a few more scattered around the country.

So after a lovely night out we woke up this morning in rather a panic to see my boyfriend's eye had swollen up which meant a trip to the NHS walk in! He won't allow me to post a photo on here so here is the nearest lookalike i could find on the internet!!
Jokes aside he is actually quite poorly and we needed to pop into Boots to pick up his antibiotics where i had a part one of today's little shopping accident which ended up in a very bargainous haul (see below).

Oooops! :0

So as we entered boots on a weekend i promised i wouldn't shop i noticed a 75% off sign next to one the luxury make up brands and couldn't resist a few cheeky purchases! So here's what i got...

As i explained to my boyfriend it's not about focusing on how much money i have spent but the huge savings and the fact i love what i have bought.
The brand is called CARGO and from what i can see used to be very expensive. :)

The first product i bought is the Lash Activator Triple Mascara which promises to give you longer lashes in 28 days.

I am reluctant to believe these miracle claims but will give anything a try once and it's a pretty decent mascara so win win!

With 75% off this mascara only cost me £6.75 so a pretty decent bargain if i don't say so myself. I will let you all know whether or not in 28 days i have beautiful longer lashes.

Second product in the haul and my fave was this amazing Cheek Plumping Blush in Rose Blush.

The product promises to plump and smooth your skin and the shocking thing is; it actually works. This product only cost me £4.62 and i literally have no complaints - if you see this product BUY IT!

One of the nicest things about the product is when i took my make up off it actually felt like i'd moisturized my skin.

Overall i love this product that much i'm considering going to buy all the other discounted ones tomorrow.

Finally i got four eyeshadows and a palette to put them in and i cannot express how lovely they are! Yet another bargain! :)

The next accidental purchases can really be blamed on Boots again as they take 30 minutes to fill a prescription in which we made a cheeky little trip to H&M where i picked up a few little bargains :)

Orange Nail Polish 99p

Stacker Rings 99p

Stacker Rings £3.99

Earings - Free!!!

At this point this I probably should have stopped but still picked up a few more cheeky little purchases :) Unbelievably i picked up this Garnier Eye Roll-On in the 99p shop and couldn't resist it at that price. I have used this product before but felt it was overpriced for what it was but for 99p who can complain!

Final cheeky purchase that's worth blogging about (also got some face wipes and nail varnish remover is the St Moritz tan spray i picked up from the Co Op for just £1.25. I usually use the mousse but will write a review of this product when i use it.

Thanks for reading :)
